A tragic incident happened in Bahawalnagar city at 1000 am in the morning where a man attacked the procession at Jamia Masjid in Muhajir Colony with a hand grenade.
2 people were killed at the spot and 59 people were injured and two more people are in critical condition.
Punjab Rangers has been deployed in the area and all the city security has also been increased.

Pakistan Ulema Council strictly condemned the incident and releases a Press Release
“Such kind of coward and vicious attacks are done by the enemies of Pakistan and Islam“.
There is no place for those in Islam who killed innocent humans. Islam provides full protection to all including minorities and people of other fates.”
Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar took immediate action and order IG Punjab to submit the report on the incident on an urgent basis.
High-security arrangements were made in all parts of the country for the processions in major and minor cities.
In total 218 processions has been emerged from different parts of Karachi on Muharram 10th. Moreover, 1000 traffic police personnel were deployed to instruct the people about the routes and alternative traffic plans.
In Lahore, almost 46 processions emerged from different parts of the city. Which was escorted under the high security around the city.
Cellular connectivity was banned during the whole day but the internet facility was active as an alternative connectivity system in the major city across Pakistan.
